
Alex Notkin

Alex Notkin is a Russian born and US based actor, director, producer and acting teacher.
He was born in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Russia to a family of doctors (Efim and Olga Notkin). He graduated from The Russian State Institute of Performing Arts in St. Petersburg. His early career includes both theatre and film roles. He starred as Roland Cassard in Michel Legrand's musical "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg", The Author in "The Letters of Vertinsky", Alex Incub in crime TV series "Goodbye Makarov", Lt. Voytkevich in feature film "Dry Valley" , Detective Egor Mitrokhin in TV Series "I Believe Him", TV series "The Streets of the Shattered Lanterns", "Strange Neighborhood", "Liteyny, 4". In addition to his theatre and film works Alex became a renowned voice talent. He was performed Russian Dubbing for the voices of: Christian Bale in "Terminator 4, Salvation", Sam Worthington in James Cameron's "Avatar", Colin Farrell in Disney's "Fright Night" and "Saving Mr. Banks", Benedict Cumberbatch in "The Fifth Estate" and many more. In 2014 Alex Notkin came to the U.S. to pursue his acting career. He graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, New York. His American Projects include Films and TV shows: "Madam Secretary"-HBO, "The Americans" - FX, “The Punisher”-Netflix, "Sheepshead", "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", “Chernobyl-86”, “Checkmate”, “Father”, “The Case”, “Walking Rebel”, “Who Killed Pushkin?”, “Illusions”. Theatre productions: "Green Card, the New Musical", "ART", "Raskolnikov and the Pawnbroker, Love Story", “Chekhov, Williams and Devil knows what”. His works as stage and Film Director Include “The Letters of Vertinsky”, “ART”, “Defendant Maurice Chevalier”, “Loitering”, “Faust”. In addition, Alex Notkin is an acting teacher at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute- New York, and at GITIS (Russian Institute of Theatre Arts) – Moscow.
