Albert Rudnitsky
Film and Theatre Director. Producer.
Albert Rudnitsky, theater and film director based in NYC, moved to the United States in 2018 due to increasing political repression and the erosion of political freedom in Russia.
A 2007 graduate from the Moscow Art Theatre University with a degree in Set Design, Albert worked with Pyotr Fomenko one of the leading theater director in Europe. In 2016, Albert graduated from the Academy of Theatre Arts GITIS with a degree in directing, after which he was named an Artistic Director of the Sound Media Kids School (in Moscow and St. Petersburg). From 2014 to 2018 he also held the position of the Main Director of the International Stanislavsky Foundation. Awardees have included Anthony Hopkins, Ian McKellen and Ingmar Bergman.
Notable theatre director credits include: The Nose (Taganka Theater), Anima Chroma (Union Foundation), Old Woman (Main St Theatre) and Marriage (The State Theatre of Nations). His films have received recognition from a number of international and Oscar-qualifying festivals.
